The Goal

Transform unused, unattractive spaces to gathering places for friends/family; soften the look with natural stone, brick, and strategic plantings; create a flow for exploration of backyard highlights.

The Results

Replaced asphalt apron in front of garage entrance with Boston brick pavers; continued pavers around side of house to create patio and walkway in back of garage for access to composting area.  Installed two Pennsylvania fieldstone retaining walls to allow for raised planting beds transitioning into koi fishpond.  Installed two bluestone seating areas (144 sq.ft and 90 sq.ft.).  Removed old lawn and installed new sod lawn.  Installed stepping stone walkway for passage from patio to fishpond and rear seating area.  Planted beds.  Installed bluestone walkway from driveway to front entrance.
